I find that we seldom take the time to stop and enjoy the simple beauty in our own backyards. Drying leaves, spent flowers, colourful weeds and many common insects make excellent subjects for painting. I spend many hours trying capturing nature though the lens of my camera before I start to put my ideas on canvas. Using acrylic paint allows me the versatility of incorporating fine detailed painting with a gentle softness. With each painting I hope to bring out the peace and tranquility that I feel is so abundant in nature. |

I have always been fascinated with nature and its vast beauty. Growing up in the small town of Essex, Ontario I have been fortunate to be able to visit the many rural areas to view nature up close. I recently moved to the town of Kingsville, Ontario I am enjoying be close to the lake and the amazing variety of birds that this small town attracts. |
